There are so many ways to educate children in practical ways. I love focusing on real-life lessons, especially in the early years. As parents, we can turn any event into a lesson that will benefit our children and stimulate their minds.

Dealing with Overwhelming Feelings
Some days I just feel really low, overwhelmed by expectations and tasks that seem to tower before me. The truth is, these days are usually not any different than the rest, except in that vast and seemingly infinite place, called my mind.

Is Your Home Address on Facebook?
Is Your Home Address on Facebook? |
I am a pretty private person. I love social media, but I like to keep a certain degree of privacy. Although I am willing to share a lot of information about things that I like, things that I do, and even what my kids look like, there are certain things that I do not publicly share. One such thing is my home address, or so I thought...

Simple Composition Book Cover
Easy Composition Book Cover |
Composition books are one of my favorite tools. My kids and I use them for so many of our daily tasks. I use one as a planner and I use them for my kids homeschooling as copy work and tracing books. There are so many uses for composition books! The only thing that keeps me going back to buying commercial planners--that I never end up using past a month--is that commercial planners are SO CUTE! I'm nowhere near the first to admit that I love pretty things.

Love Never Fails
One of the most often read passages in weddings must be that of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. This beautiful passage, however, cannot be separated from 1 Corinthians 7 and Ephesians 5. Love never fails, this is true, but when we spot "failed love" in our society ridden with separations, divorce, and adultery we must look to these other passages to see what true love is.

10 Minute Mini Sketch Book
Like most toddlers, my kids love to draw. My five year old goes through sketch books fairly quickly. She was asking for a custom sketchbook, so this is what I whipped up!
This mini sketch book used supplies most of us already have sitting at home and took less than 10 minutes. It also cost me less than a dollar in consumable products! Major plus! Next time I will make several and save them for gifts.
