One thing that I really love about overnight oats is that they have more of an al-dente consistency than cooked oats often have. Also, I love that I can pop this in the fridge and know that we will have an easy breakfast ready for us in the morning!
You only need a few ingredients:
- Rolled oats
- Your choice of milk (we use almond or flax)
- Your choice of toppings--below are some of my favorites
- cinnamon
- rasins
- can-rasins
- pumpkin seeds
- pumpkin spice
- honey (to sweeten)
- chia seeds

I love using my Pyrex containers for this. Jars are super cute, but more difficult to dig into.
This is as simple as putting all of your ingredients into a container, adding enough milk to cover the oats, and then putting it into the refrigerator overnight.
Wake up in the morning and you will have this tasty and nutritious meal waiting for you!
